"Pretty frustrating for such a big bank"
I mostly use Bank of America on my phone, the app just isn’t reliable enough. Some days it opens totally fine, and other days it freezes when I’m trying to log in or takes forever to load my accounts. Depositing checks can be really annoying too, it’ll crash or make me retake pictures even when they look perfectly clear. For such a big bank, I really feel like the app should work better. It’s not the worst thing ever, but it’s definitely frustrating

"Got My Bonus Just Like They Promised"
I signed up mostly because I wanted the promo bonus, so I was definitely watching to see if everything would work out for me. I set up the direct deposits, waited it out, and hoped I wouldn’t have to deal with any annoying back-and-forth.
The bonus ended up hitting my account right around when they said it would, which was exactly what I cared about. I didn’t have to call anyone or chase it down, so from my side, it was a easy win.

"Statements are reliable, but finding them can be annoying"
I mostly use Bank of America when I need to download monthly statements or grab tax documents, and for the most part it does what I need. The amounts have usually lined up with what I see in the app and with my own notes, which is reassuring.
That said, I’ve had a couple moments where a pending charge made the balance look weird for a day, so I had to double-check things. It ended up being fine once the final statement posted, and the PDFs themselves download without any issues and are easy to read.
I’d say my experience is mostly positive, but not perfect. The accuracy has been solid, which matters most to me, though the document search feels a little clunky sometimes and makes the whole process more frustrating than it needs to be

"Mortgage service is hard to describe, just kind of okay"
My mortgage has been handled fine overall, so I can’t really complain too much. But it’s hard to describe, the service isn’t bad, it just feels a little clunky at times. Calling support can take longer than I’d like, and while online payments work okay, I do wish the updates and escrow details were easier to understand. Not terrible, not amazing, just somewhere in the middle.

I’ve had a good experience with Bank of America so far. The minimum balance requirements are easy to find, so I actually know what I need to keep in the account to avoid fees.
I check it on the website or app every now and then, and it’s been straightforward. No surprises yet, overdraft or maintenance fees feel preventable when the info is this easy to see.

"Investment sync is better than nothing, I guess"
Bank of America works fine enough for regular banking, so I’ll give it that. But trying to keep my investment account linked has been frustrating. It randomly disconnects or shows balances that are clearly outdated, and I end up having to refresh it way more than I should. Support was nice and seemed like they wanted to help, but the issue never really got fixed. It’s not awful, exactly, but it’s definitely more annoying than it needs to be

"Closing my account was harder than I expected"
I was trying to close my Bank of America account online, and maybe I missed something, but it really didn’t feel straightforward. I kept getting bounced around to different pages, and then it basically seemed like I had to call anyway.
The phone wait was longer than I would’ve liked. The rep was fine, I guess, but I had to repeat the same information a few times, which got old quickly. At one point, they also made it sound like I might have to go into a branch, which was kind of frustrating.
It did get closed eventually, so I can’t say it was a total disaster. But for something that seems like it should be a basic request, it took more time and effort than I expected.

So far, the fees on my Bank of America account have been easy to understand. I like that I can skip the monthly charge as long as I keep the required balance. Haven’t run into any random surprise fees yet, which is the main thing I care about.

The notifications are fast and actually useful. I don’t have to keep opening the app and overthinking it—if something comes through, I see it right away and can tell quickly if it looks normal or not.

I’ve been using my Bank of America card for regular everyday stuff, and honestly... the rewards do add up. It’s not like some huge, life-changing amount or anything, but it’s easy cashback on things I’m already buying, and after a while, I do notice it.

I’ve had a really smooth experience with the online banking. Logging in is quick, and the layout is simple enough that I can find what I need without digging around. "Mortgage app worked, but the delays need accountability"
I used the app to apply for a home loan, and while the process did technically work, it took longer than I expected. Support was decent, but there were times when the updates weren’t very clear, which made the waiting even more frustrating. I get that mortgages can take time, but if there are delays, I think the company needs to be more upfront about what’s happening and take responsibility for keeping people informed.
